According to the Department of Health and Human Services, 5 million people are treated for skin cancer every year and melanoma is the deadliest form of the disease, with 9,000 people dying each year.
What’s crazy is that this is a highly preventable disease.
Earlier this month the, the acting U.S. surgeon general warned that there is an alarming 200 percent jump in deadly melanoma cases since 1973.
